You pay your 1st month’s payment and/or deposit up front, which is based on the model you select. Then the unit is delivered to your home or business, exactly where you want it. The location you select must be accessible at all times for delivery and during your contract term. After 36, 48, or 60 on-time payments, you will own your unit, and won’t have to pay rent again.

Portable Buildings

  1. Determine the size you are needing for your shed, width & length. You can use bedrooms or your existing garage to help give you an idea of the space you are needing. You can also go outside use some stakes and string and layout the dimensions on the ground and that will help you to determine a proper size for your portable building.
  2. Determine the style you like from viewing the sections below.
  3. Determine if you would like overhead storage like in our lofted barns and casita’s, if that’s is the case look at our lofted building options. We can put a loft in most all buildings.
  4. Next thing is to determine if it can be delivered which is no additional charge if you’re in our coverage area or if it will have to be built on site. We do not remove fences or lift buildings over obstructions so we will need a clear path to deliver it. See the video above for how the mule works, we can get your portable building into tight spaces and we never have to get the truck and trailer on your property. If it’s not possible to deliver we can build it on site for a small additional charge.
  5. Look at the site you have chosen to put the building and determine how level it is. We will level the building up on concrete capstone blocks up to 18” no additional charge. If you would like or it needs to be leveled up higher than that just provide us with the additional blocks and for a small fee we will take care of it for you.
  6. All our portables come with a ¾ inch plywood floor, we can build on your concrete pad and eliminate the floor if you want this option let us know.
  7. We offer many different siding options our standard T-111 60% pressure treated siding, that has a limited lifetime warranty which we seal and stain at the factory, we offer a painted metal siding which is the same price as the T-111. Another option is our painted building using a 50 year LP Smart Siding (painted wood buildings only available on deliverable buildings). We also offer a log siding and a cedar lap board siding option. The cedar, painted, and log siding options are an additional cost. Pick which one of the siding options you would like and let us know so we can get you the correct figure’s when pricing.
  8. Next determine if you want metal or shingle roof, they are the exact same cost and keep in mind the metal is virtually indestructible. We offer 4 basic shingle colors and 6 basic metal colors. Other metal colors available for an additional cost see our color chart for detailed information.
  9. Next step determine the location and type of door or doors you would like on your portable building. All buildings come standard with the door you see in the picture but they are all virtually interchangeable so feel free to switch them up. Costs will vary when changing from the non-standard door and we can locate them anywhere on the building. .
  10. Next step is windows, decide if you want any windows and their size, how many, and location we offer 2 basic sizes, non-insulated and insulated. Our prices on buildings that come standard with windows reflects non-insulated.
  11. Determine if you want a porch, keep in mind a porch takes away from the interior dimensions of the building. We offer many different styles of portable buildings with porches. If you decide on a model that has a porch determine its location left or right if we are building it on the side. And the width and length of the porch is changeable from what you see in the pictures. Remember we have skilled frame carpenters not just hourly guys that just picked up a nail gun, everything is customizable.
  12. Determine if you would like insulation installed on your building from the factory, we have a few options to choose from.
  13. We can also install electrical packages in buildings we deliver. Let us know if you would like that option and we would be happy to get you a price.
  14. Last but not least determine if you want to pay cash for your building or rent to own. We do except credit cards. All portable buildings built on site are cash only and require a 50% deposit when contracting. All deliverable buildings qualify for our lease to own or as some call it rent to own option. All portable building’s 12’ wide and smaller only require a 1st month’s payment down. Anything larger in width up to 16’ please call us and ask for details. Buildings we are delivering and you’re paying cash for require a 15% deposit when contracting and the C.O.D. amount when it’s delivered.

The Utility Shed offers you a “no-frills” storage shed with taller side walls 6′ 4 1/2″ on buildings 8′ wide and 7′ 9 1/2″ on all buildings 10′ wide and up for added interior space. Our 8′ wide buildings have 6’x48″ standard single wooden door for easy access and convenience 24″ & 36″ are an option at no additional charge , you can add a double door to our 8′ wide buildings for a small additional charge. Utility buildings 10′ wide and up comes with double wooden door’s 6’3″x6′. Both single and wooden doors have a keyed lock. As with all Better Built Structures buildings, the exterior is virtually maintenance free, whether you choose the standard T-111 sealed and stained option or have your building custom painted to match your homes exterior. Chicken Coops & Dog Kennels

The Chicken Coop is a unique design to Better Built Structures. This building has been built to safely keep not only chickens in but cats, dogs, ducks, geese, guineas, snakes, hawks, bats, raccoons, squirrels, small livestock, and many more critters than I listed. This buildings is fully customizable you can make the coop area any size you like and the exterior wire pen another. Place doors and windows in any position you like and even add an egg box door to retrieve those farm fresh eggs without ever entering the coop. Comes standard with 5 laying boxes which is good for 15 chickens. Yes you can add more if needed for a small additional cost. The exterior wire is much heavier than just standard chicken wire which keeps animals such as bobcats, coyotes, and large predators from chewing their way through. The weight of the building is quite substantial which keeps it from flipping over in high winds like some of those less expensive coops you can purchase at the box stores but still is able to be moved around on its 4×6 pressure treated skids quite easily.

Lofted Livestock

The Lofted Livestock Shed is another unique building to Better Built Structures and is a hybrid of the lofted Barn and a loafing shed, this building offers shelter for horses, cattle, sheep, and goats as well as many other animals. These buildings are perfect for the small hobby farm with just 1 or 2 animals all the way to the large ranch operation where you want to keep your pampered ones close to the house. The Lofted Livestock shed offers a steel gate, interior saddle racks, and small feed door between the stall and tack room to offer easy access to animals without having to step outside. Store all of your feed, tack and other items used to care for your animals inside the tack room which does have an interior floor and ceiling to keep out the unwanted critters. All models also feature overhead lofts for storage on both ends and over the tack room for such items as hay and other bulky items used to care for your precious furry critters.

You can customize these buildings in many different ways even install a roll up door on one side of a Double Lofted Livestock and install a ¾ inch floor to keep your 4 wheeler, small garden tractor, or tiller.
